I was playing the song "Give Thanks". AND singing it as well due to SongLi's monotonic voice, Mum's very green knowledge of beats and Gail's off pitch voice.. All one-off things so Sorry.
And thus it dawned on me how many things I should be grateful for especially my family but take for granted.. We all should stop and smell the roses once in a while and this is my time.
- My family
- Dad. For his new involvement in the Filipino Ministry, For placing money in my wallet every day, For his very helpful advice about life, For the way he tries his best to keep the family running, For the way he encourages me in whatever way he knows how, For that he has brough me and my family to more then 3 continents around the world AND For being my Dad.
- Mum. For Raising me up so very impressively (no credit to myself) , For the willingness to sit down and talk to me on even terms, For learning Early Childhood Education so I didn't grow up a mormon, For allowing me to have my freedom, For never scolding me for my horrendous results, For always having a smile on her face, For being a Pastor AND my mum.
- Elder Bro. For having the uncanny ability to spot my mood swings and do the exact right thing I want to cheer me up, For playing with me WE10 every night despite his tiredness, For opening up to me and me only, For joking with me every time we see each other, For having THAT psychic link with me about people AND for being MY elder bro.
- Younger Bro. For always trying to get me out of my mood swings, For bouncing around the house with his refreshing cheerfulness and youthfulness (makes me seem old), For the perspicacity to see what seriously needs to be done and to go all out to do it, For being a national hockey player(so I can boast about it), For cooking for me out of the blue, For making concoctions out of various stuff to make the perfect cafe latte, For helping me in difficult decisions AND for being my younger bro.
Now, For that many things I can give thanks for Is all credit the Lord Jesus Christ.
There are still a truckload of things to say but My family is most important to me of all.
For in everything we do and have, Give Thanks.
